Saraswat khatri pathshala society was registered and established as charitable society in the year 1921 on the auspicious Day of “Basant panchami”, with a motive to establish educational institution in the holi city of Allahabad. The land for the establishment was donated by “late Lala Sadanlal khanna”.
               In the international year for women 1975, members of the khatri pathsala society contributed to establish a degree
College with outstanding contribution of late S.N. Kakkar (Ex- minister, Union of India),  proof . D.D. Khanna (Ex-Head of department, defense studies, University of Allahabad ) and Sri Shyam narain kapoor for establishing girls` degree college in name of Sadanlal Sanwaldas khanna girls` Degree college. The institution has grown from signal faculty to multi faculty  where in education is being imparted in the faculty of Arts, since and commerce.
             
  In the Academic Session 2004-2005 another milestone was installed in the institution when recognition was granted  the national council for teacher education, Northern region, Jaipur for teacher education curse i.e., B. ed. , with an intake of 100 seat, the institution was provided affiliation by University of Allahabad, in respect of the said course as examining body. The B.ed. faculty has building with 10 class rooms of deferent dimensions suiting the need, 02 seminar rooms, 01 library with computer and internet facility, 02 well equipped laboratories, 01 Director room and 01 staff room.
               Till date 02 batches of 100 student each, have completed their B. ed. Training course from Sadanlal Sanwaldas khanna girls` degree college in tow successive years. The 3rd batch of the year2006-07 is presently under going training. In the session 2004-05, 20 students obtained first division and 03 students obtained 2nd division in both theory and practical. The result of 2005-06 are stile awaited.
              
Out of the aforesaid 100 students of 1st year 54 have already been successfully appointed as teachers in various esteemed institution. B.ed. faculty of Sadanlal Sanwaldas khanna girls` Degree College has 09 qualified teacher educators of permanent role, 01 librarian, 01 technical assistant and 04 Class-4 empolyess.
               The institution has applied for increasing the intake by another 100 seats; the application is under process with Regional office of NCTE.
               For pupil teachers of the faculty, specials computer training is being provided by and in the institution.
               Educational tour of the pupil teacher had vested for Agra and Gwalior . It is proposed to take the current batch to Paunchamani, in the state M.P..
